16bedürfen; dass sich ihrer annehmen der jeweils
17amtierende Rat und die
18Generäle, damit ihnen von keiner Seite Unrecht
19geschieht; dass diesen Beschluss
20der Sekretär des Rates aufzeichne auf eine steinerne
21Stele und aufstelle auf der Akropolis;
22dass für die Aufzeichnung auf die Stele der
23Schatzmeister des Volkes 20 Drachmen
24gebe.
II
25Unter dem Archon Ourias; die Demetrias hatte die elfte Prytanie inne,
26für die Euxenos S.d. Kallias aus dem Demos AixoneIX Sekretär war; im Thargelion am alten
27und neuen, dem neunundzwanzigsten (Tag) der Prytanie; Volksversammlung; von den Vorsitzenden
28leitete die Abstimmung Theotimos S.d. Theokles aus dem Demos - - - und seine Mitvorsitzenden.
29Beschluss von Rat und Volk; - - - stellte den Antrag:
30Hierüber, was der Gesandte der Tenier berichtet, wolle beschließen
31der Rat: dass die Vorsitzenden, die erlost sein werden zum Vorsitz im Volk für die kommende
32Volksversammlung, den Gesandten der Tenier einführen vor die Volks-
33versammlung und verhandeln lassen und die Beschlussvorlage
34des Rates in die Volksversammlung einbringen, wonach der Rat beschließt, dass man belobige das
35Volk der Tenier und es bekränze mit goldenem Kranz gemäß
36dem Gesetz wegen seiner Leistung und seines Wohlwollens, das es stets gegenüber dem Volk
37der Athener hegt; dass für sie (die Tenier) gültig sei die vom Volk verliehene
38Steuergleichheit gemäß dem Beschluss, den - - - beantragt
39hat, und sie Militärdienst leisten und die Sondersteuern zahlen gemeinsam mit dem Athenern;
40dass man belobige auch den Gesandten der Tenier - - -
41und ihn bekränze mit einem Olivenkranz wegen seines Ehrgeizes für
42das Volk der Athener; dass man ihn auch zum Festbankett lade in das
43Prytaneion für morgen; dass diesen Beschluss der Sekretär
44des Volkes aufzeichne auf die Stele, auf der auch das früher vom Volk
45Beschlossene aufgezeichnet ist, so wie sie es erbitten; dass für die

25In the archonship of Ourias, in the eleventh prytany, of Demetrias,
26for which Euxenos son of Kallias of Aixone was secretary; on the old and new day
27[of Thargelion], the twenty-ninth of the prytany. Assembly. Of the presiding
28committee Theotimos son of Theokles of - - - was putting to the vote and his fellow presiding committee members.
29The Council and People decided. - - - son of - - - of - - - proposed:
30concerning the matters that the ambassador of the Tenians reports, the Council
31[shall resolve]: that the presiding committee allotted to preside at the
32next Assembly shall present the ambassador of the Tenians to
33the People and put the matter on the agenda and submit the opinion
34of the Council to the People, that it seems good to the Council to praise the
35Tenian People and crown them with a gold crown according to
36the law for the excellence and good will which they continue to have for the Athenian
37People; and the equality of taxation granted to them by the People
38according to the decree which - - - son of - - - of - - - proposed shall be affirmed
39for those performing military service and paying capital taxes on the same basis as Athenians;
40and to praise the Tenian ambassador - - -
41and crown him with a foliage crown for his love of honour for the
42Athenian People; and to invite him to hospitality in the
43city hall tomorrow; and the secretary of the People shall inscribe
44this decree on the stele on which the earlier decree of the People
45has been inscribed, in accordance with what they themselves request; and for the
46inscribing the board of administrators shall allocate - - -.
